My family and I will miss our special friend Carol...One of her greatest attributes was her ability to converse with people of all ages. My daughters, Erin and Devon, loved their conversations with her..She was always interested in what they were doing and meant it!
Carol and I forged a special bond on the many dog walks we took together..she with Pogo, and me with my dog Holly.. We did the loop around stamford ave, verplank, van rensselaer and back..Lots to talk about on those walks! We discussed it all..our love of the Patriots and Red Sox for sure(I am from Mass. so it all worked!), the weather in Maine, her many trips with Frank Jr ..the casino, the local theaters for plays, restaurants, Pogo's TV viewing habits(he loved to watch the Patriots!) and his eating habits(she fed him everything from eggs to radishes)...and our love for a certain cable news network that shall remain nameless in this posting!..We reminisced about the way things were in Massachusetts years ago..all the changes good and bad.
What I loved about Carol was she called it like she saw it..no punches pulled..gave you the unvarnished truth ..refreshing !
She reminded me so much of my mother and her opinions..my mother was also a nurse.
Today is a very sad day for me and my family, yet I am so proud to have had her as a friend and confidante.. Love you my friend.
